In 1930, Mrs. Erlynne, who describes herself as poor and infamous, driven from New York society by jealous wives, sees a news photo of wealthy Lord Windermere and his young wife: she heads for the Amalfi Coast to be among the rich and famous for 'the season' and to snare Lord Windermere. Gossips twitter as he spends his afternoons with her, his wife blissfully innocent as she blushingly fends off attentions from a young English nobleman, an international playboy who thinks he's in love. Mrs. Erlynne is also pursued by a worldly-wise older English nobleman. Lady Windermere's 20th birthday party approaches, where all plays out amid numerous amoral Wildean aphorisms. From IMDB.com

Mrs. Erlynne is played by Helen Hunt, who looks HORRIBLE in this film. Seriously, is she 60? Lady Windermere is played by Scarlett Johansson.
She does look fabulous.

First - the clothes in this movie are FABULOUS! There was at least one dress I immediately said I had to own. Smiling The scenery is fantastic, too.

I really really enjoyed this movie. There were so many great little one liners, my friend and I were laughing out loud through a good portion of the movie. Many reviews I've read said it was horrible when compared with the Oscar Wilde play, but I haven't read it, but I thought the movie was good in its own right.
